AUTUMN'S CRAFTS

Although cold weather has not arrived yet, children in 3rd and 4th level want to celebrate the Autumn's arrival making these nice works.

El fred no ha arribat encara, però els nens i nenes de tercer i quart de primària hem volgut celebrar l'arribada de la tardor, amb aquests treballs.

3rd level have made an Autumn post cards , and 4th level kids have made a great Autumn tree.

Els nens de tercer van fer una postal de tardor inspirada en les fulles que cauen dels arbres, i els de quart  un arbre de tardor.

MATERIALS:
• 1-2 pieces of orange construction paper
• 1 piece of green construction paper
• 1 piece of b
lack construction paper
• scissors
• paper cutter (optional)
• paper clips and/or stapler
• string
DIRECTIONS:
Cut the orange pieces of construction paper into 1″ wide strips (each strip will be 1″ x 11″). Then, shorten some of the strips so that you have (1) 6″, (2) 7″, (2) 9″, and (2) 11″ long pieces.
Gather the strips of paper together (with the ends flush) and place the smallest one in the middle. Order them by size so that the largest strip is on the outside. Secure with a paper clip or staple. Line up the opposite ends so that they are together like the top.
Cut a black strip of paper 1/4″ by 3″ long for the stem and cut out two leaf shapes from the green paper (ours were sort of like pairs of bunny ears).

piece of construction paper.
tape
paint (black).
• scissors
string (elastic)
sequins, stickers, ribbons, googly eyes etc. (optional)

DIRECTIONS:
Paint the hats black and decorate as much as your child desires. For example, you can use stickers as stars or googly eyes.

IMG_6387.jpgCut the string so that it's long enough to fit your child’s face from ear to ear, under the chin. Tape the ends of the string to the opposite sides of the hat (the outer rim of the paper plate) to make the hats wearable.

SPIDER
MATERIALS:
Foam ball.
• t
wo 12 inch black pipe cleaners.
black paint and paintbrush.
• scissors
glue
googly eyes
DIRECTIONS:
Begin the spider craft by painting the foam ball black. You will need to do this in two steps. Let one side dry and then flip it over to paint the other side.
Cut the two 12 inch black pipe cleaners into 4 sections each, each section will be roughly 3 inches long. Push the 3 inch pipe cleaners into the side of the black ball, three per side.
Bend each pipe cleaner leg in the middle, downwards at a 90 degree angle. Now the spider can stand!
Add a face to your spider craft. I chose to glue on googly eyes, and I gave him two eyes.
